Today is a big day — I’m formally announcing that I’m writing Hands-On Quantum Machine Learning With Python Volume 2: Combinatorial Optimization.
In this volume, you'll learn how to solve actual optimization problems on real quantum computers. We will deep dive into the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) and use it to solve combinatorial optimization problems.
I’ve wanted to write this book since I successfully launched the first Hands-On Quantum Machine Learning With Python volume last year. Now, it becomes real - hopefully.
Of course, the last thing I want is to write a book nobody wants to read. Instead, I want to create content that not only pleases you but also provides tremendous value. I have one goal — to help developers, practitioners, and students like yourself become quantum machine learning experts.
I can’t do it without you. I’ll need your help again!
To make Hands-On Quantum Machine Learning With Python Volume 2: Combinatorial Optimization cater to your needs, I need your feedback, input, and insight. And I need it before I finish everything.
So, this time, I will share my work with you while working on the book. I call this “Early Access”.
I publish the book section-by-section and chapter-by-chapter. It’ll allow me to incorporate feedback right away and ensure to serve you the best.
In this Medium post, I’ve included some of what I plan to cover in this upcoming book.
The outline is by no means complete and finalized but I believe it does accurately reflect what will be covered. Chapters will certainly be modified and added during the writing process.
If you can’t wait to get your hands on the book, you can download a free sample here.
But that’s not the only change compared to the first volume. There’s something even bigger!
Even though I aim to explain quantum machine learning as accessible as possible, I admit that it is a tough topic to learn on your own. Therefore, I’ll offer an Online Classroom this time!
In the classroom, we will go through the material in a bi-weekly online meeting - LIVE! I will personally hold all the lectures and support you in solving practical problems.
The online classroom is your unique chance to ask questions, work through solutions in person, and get feedback.
Moreover, you'll get to know other quantum machine learning learners. So start networking and become part of a collaborative community.
I am excited at the prospect of meeting you in the classroom!
Enough with the changes for now. Let’s talk about the things that remained unchanged.
First, I’m going to do another Kickstarter! Everything is already prepared. Have a look at the preview.
The Kickstarter will start on July, 12th!
6 am Los Angeles
9 am New York City
2 pm London
3 pm Berlin
6:30 pm Delhi
11 pm Australia
I added a few “Early Bird” items, so make sure you don’t wait too long.
Is the Volume 2 out as an ebook? I only saw the hardcopy version? I have the Volume 1 PDF purchased but not yet the Volume 2 yet.
Darn it! Missed the kickstarter whilst on leave. Is there a "latecomer top-up" option?
